We Won't Waste Another Minute

What is this?

Being one of those few people who actually listen to and know Vinyl Thief (once you read some of the posts I put up you will understand why this is not bragging) I find that I am often one of the only ones who interacts with them on the social medias, which happens to be one of their strongest points as an indie band; they were one of the first groups hip enough to delete their Myspace, or at least say they were going to do so. Sometimes, because of what I refer to as “constructively brutal honesty”, I have developed an identity as the asshole who always talks shit about his friends’ band among at least one of the Thief’s family members. All because I remember the simpler times of Vinyl Thief, when they used to just be a Muse cover band, as opposed to their current state, in which they are MuteMath, TV on the Radio, Radiohead rip-offs. Having said that, I still have attended more of their shows than anyone (with the exception of maybe Andrew’s parents). Also, having been friends with Andrew Broadway, drummer extraordinaire for the better part of three years, I have had great access to all of their material, “good” and bad. And I’ll let you know right now, I have kept every mp3. 

So one day, when I was complementing Grayson via Twitter on his particularly intriguing scarecrow get up, I was asked asked by the “band” through Grayson to make this blog about how much they suck, because he thought it would be a laugh to help promote the band. Little did little Grayson know, I am not actually a very funny person. Having said that, this sounded like a delightful idea. So here it is, “We Won’t Waste Another Minute”, a blog devoted to why Vinyl Thief needs to stop being a band.
